Rural pottery run by Peta Whiting specializing in bowls which reflect Suffolk's colour and light together with wildlife themes found on Suffolk's coast and in Suffolk's countryside.
Peta's original wader bowls depict avocets in the saltmarshes of the Suffolk coast and reflect the colour and light found there.
The countryside bowls take Suffolk's woodland as their theme and the hazy morning light of the morning when deer may be seen foraging.
Winter bowls, dwell on another aspect of the countryside of Suffolk, pheasants and hares against the frosty background of winter.
The most recent range, flower bowls are inspired by the wild flowers of the Suffolk countryside
In addition to the bowls Peta makes freestanding wildlife sculptures in terra cotta and frostproof stoneware. These currently include hares, ducks, drakes, otters, squirrels, chickens and cats.
Peta's work may be seen at
Primavera, Cambridge; Holkham Hall, Norfolk; Snape Maltings, Suffolk; Linda Blackstone Gallery, Pinner, Middlesex; Head Street Gallery, Halstead, Essex; By Design, Felixstowe, Suffolk
